Telltale delays (and refunds) Jurassic Park: The Game

Anonymous declares war on itself 12

Telltale is fully refunding all pre-orders and giving away a free game to those affected by the delay.

The first episode of Telltale’s next adventure title was originally slated to come out this month for the PC and Mac, but a post on the Telltale Games Blog confirms that Jurassic Park has been purposely postponed in order to coincide with the game’s console release later in the fall. Telltale CEO Dan Connors has also written a thoughtful letter to the fans and his team is going the extra mile to keep their customers happy. Everyone who pre-ordered Jurassic Park will receive a full refund and will also receive a voucher for a free copy of any game in Telltale’s library.

“To thank you for your continued support of Telltale and for your pre-order for Jurassic Park: The Game we are going to issue a 100% refund,” writes Connors. “In addition to your refund we are also giving you your choice of any Telltale game free of charge because you are important to us.”

And when the Telltale CEO says any game, he really means any game. Players will be able to use the voucher to grab Jurassic Park when it comes out, so those who put down money for a Jurassic Park pre-order will now be able to get the game for free if they’re patient. The blog goes on to state that refunds should already be kicking in, and promises that more information will be available at E3.
