Skyrim Team Moving on to New Project

Skyrim Team Moving on to New Project - 2013-04-16 18:38:37

In a post on Bethesda’s blog, the team announced that the developers behind Skyrim are now moving on to their next major project, meaning Dragonborn is the final piece of content that will be released for the title.

“For the last year and a half we’ve been working on new content for Skyrim; from the game updates, Creation Kit, Steam Workshop, Kinect support, to DLCs. Parts of our team have also been in pre-production on our next major project, and that game is at the point where it requires the studio’s full attention to make it our biggest and best work yet.”

Dragonborn was release in December for the Xbox 360 and in February for PC and PlayStation 3. The team did get all three downloadable content’s working on the PS3 and staggered them out for the platform earlier this year.

Bethesda is rumoured to be working on Fallout 4, which is said to be set in Boston, but there has been no confirmation. The team will still be releasing minor updates for Skyrim.

A teaser video was posted on Vine this morning, showing barbed wire and the sounds of a record beginning. When asked on Twitter if the tease was Fallout related, Bethesda Vice President of Marketing Pete Hines responded with, “guess again.”
