Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment confirmed today notable Mortal Kombat character Scorpion as the newest DLC for Injustice: Gods Among Us.

Scorpion will join fellow DLC’s Lobo and Batgirl in an all-explosive battle that pits classic DC characters against each other, fighting for supreme dominance. But Scorpion is no stranger to the DC universe—he was included in 2008’s brawler crossover, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe.

The addition of Scorpion to Injustice served as a full-circle moment for NetherRealm Studios, creative director Ed Boon said in a trailer highlighting Scorpion’s appearance. DC Entertainment co-publisher Jim Lee was responsible for Scorpion’s redesign. Lee explained in the trailer he wanted Scorpion’s armor to resemble just that—a scorpion.

Players can get the chance to test (and relive) Scorpion’s abilities when he becomes available on Xbox Marketplace for $5 (equaling 400 Microsoft Points) and PlayStation Network for $4.99. NetherRealm Studios said last month they hope to release Injustice DLC on Wii U this summer.
