Following the closure of Microsoft Points, the new Xbox Live Rewards program is now up and running allowing players to earn credits, which can be converted to local currency for use on the Xbox Stores.
Members can obtain credits several different ways, from renewing a Gold membership earning them 3,000 credits, to playing a new disc-based game for over ten hours for 1,000 credits, and even simply completing a survey for 250 credits.
Every 5,000 Rewards Credits are converted to $5 US and deposited into the user’s account. Currency that has been converted and deposited into an account will expire by June 2015.
