Ken and Golden Arena RPG Mode Trailers Released for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax 2

After last week’s confirmation of Ken and Koromaru being playable in Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, Atlus have released a new gameplay trailer showing off how they’ll play.

Players will be controlling Ken using mid ranged attacks with his spear, while Koromaru will jump in to help combo with his short ranged kunai. It seems as though he will be a special attack, much like Agis’ Orgia Mode looking at the small meter right above Ken’s SP bar.

It’s also apparent that they’ll be more focused on normal attacks, as they only have two Persona cards. The more a character is reliant on their Persona, the more cards they’ll have.

Also released today was an overview for Golden Arena Mode. In this mode, players will choose a character and a navigator that will provide bonuses.

As they fight, they’ll gain experience points and will eventually level up. When levelled up, players will be able to put points into certain stats such as attack an SP. They’ll also learn one of 150 skills but will only to have four at one time.

The Golden Arena Mode is currently set to be DLC to launch along with the game when it comes out.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax releases in Japan on August 28th, and in North America on September 30th.
