It’s no question that Bethesda resurrected the Wolfenstein franchise with Wolfenstein: The New Order. Now, they look to continue that trend with a two-part prequel Wolfenstein: The Old Blood.
In part one, Rudi Jäger and the Den of Wolves, players are dropped into 1946 where the Nazis are about to win the Second World War. In a last-ditch effort to turn the tide BJ Blazkowicz breaks into Castle Wolfenstein to steal the coordinates to compound the compound of the most evil sounding name in gaming--General Deathhead.
Part two, The Dark Secrets of Helga Von Schabbs, picks up where part one leaves off. Blazkowicz winds up in Wulfburg to discover a Nazi archeologist is about to unleash an ancient magic.
If these sound cool to you, there won’t be a long wait. Wolfenstein: The Old Blood launches digitally on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC for $19.99USD on May 5, 2014.
