Slow frame rates speeds have also been an issue expressed all over forums online. The game at times dips to a terrible 15 frames per second. • Tim Morrell

Sorry to hear that man! Was only trying to help those affected. I hope you find another option, so you can enjoy MKX soon!

doesn't matter. That "patch" is nothing but a scam. The link takes you to dropbox for a stupid 1.78 kb text file with supposed workarounds that don't work. This is by far the worst MK game to date so far, and I'm going to return mine for a refund. Ed Boon did a terrible job with their DRM decision and I will never buy another MK game again. Sad to have to let go a Franchise that I supported since the original arcade release.

    • Fury

The bad launch was due to steam not releasing all of the MK download packs which resulted in crashes and lack of game play modes.

Whenever an internet offer wants your email, name home address and phone number I say NAY! This has to be unquestionably a scam. And even if it wasn't, I'm not releasing that information to some random website.

    How can download the patch?

  • Jeff

Don’t bother it is not an actual patch!! Its just bullshit telling you some steps to try which I guarantee you already have. Here is exactly the NOTEPAD document with this bullshit on it to try.

Below you can see the most common errors in Mortal Kombat X and how to fix them:

    1: Visual c++ error Fix:

You might have not installed Visual C++ or directX packs correctly. We recommend you to install them once again by tracing out previous files.

    2: No sound during gameplay:

Go to your control panel and change your sound settings from 5.1 to Stereo. This simple workaround can be really effective.

3: Mouse cursor not working :

First of all, if you have plugged any controller, remove it and restart the game. If this did not work, then unplug and replug the mouse before playing.

4: Game freezes on Loading screen :

You might have not downloaded or installed the game correctly. So, we recommend you to verify the integrity of game cache files. After doing it, if you find any missing files, restore them and play the game.

    5: Random Crashes:

Verify the Integrity of Game cache files. Sometimes, you may download the game incompletely. After verify game cache files, if you find any missing files, then restore them back.

Turn off your Anti-virus program while starting the game. Sometimes, your AV’s recognize malware in game files. This is false positive.

    Miles sound system bug:

Sometimes, mss32.dll may cause crashing issues. This file gets saved in C:\Windows\System32 automatically when you download a game that requires mss32.dll file. So, we recommend you to remove it from the directory and play the game. Make sure that you have a back up of that file because it may cause issues with other game.

    6: Game Not Starting:
Verify the Integrity of Game cache files and the game will start.

    7: Low FPS:
Update your graphics card drivers and it should fix this.
