Ever since Star Wars Battlefront was unveiled people have been clamouring to get their hands on it. It seems you won't have to wait long, in October EA will be launching a beta for the game.
Launching on PS4 in October, the game will be a technical test and will feature the Hoth area of the game. This map will feature a 40-player multiplayer battle featuring the Rebels and the Empire. This mode will also allow players to play as the iconic Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker. The beta will also feature a survival-style mission set on Tatooine where players as the Rebels must face off against wave upon wave of Imperial Forces.
As part of this beta, they will be launching a "companion experience" that will let players check stats and play a strategic card game that can earn in-game credits.
It will be interesting to see how players take to this new installment in the Battlefront franchise. It seems the team at DICE is working to bring all the stuff fans about Star Wars to this installment, but only time will tell if it all comes together as people are hoping.
