Lara won’t be raiding any tombs in Saudi Arabia as reports suggest the game has been blocked.
In a twitter post by user @AlbaijanDa7oom asking whether or not the game was banned, the official Xbox Saudi twitter account responded “Yes, the game is blocked.”
Very little is known as to the reason of the ban.
Some Reddit users suggest it could be because of the strict rules against women, citing the blocking of Bayonetta as a reason. Based on some of the loosely translated tweets in the Tomb Raider blocking threat, it could even possibly be due to the game’s implications to raiding the tomb of a prophet.
