Back in 2012, before the new console generation was in everyone's home, Lucasarts announced a title called Star Wars 1313. The title was slated to be a gritty Star Wars tale, taking players through the seedy underbelly of Coruscant. Sadly the title was canceled, along with other properties such as the Star Wars Underworld television show. Well, it seems there may still be hope for the title.
In an interview with Slashfilm, Kathleen Kennedy, Lucasfilm president outlined that they want to "explore" some of the unused material from the Star Wars 1313 game.
He then went on to say that "We don't want to throw any of that stuff away,It's gold. And it's something we're spending a lot of time looking at, pouring through, discussing, and we may very well develop those things further. We definitely want to.
With the sale of Lucasfilm to Disney many of these project were thought lost to the sands of time, but it seems like they may still be exploring options and some part of the game may still see the light of day, It will be interesting to see if Lucasfilm manages to salvage something from the project, as it showed real promise as a new Star Wars gaming installment.
