News hit today that Kojima is forming a new studio.The Nikkei reported that Kojima, known for Metal Gear Solid and Zone of the Enders, has officially finished with Konami as of today. He is now working to form a new studio with former Kojima Productions members.
According to the report, he is looking to have his new game launch on the PS4 platform first, although nothing has been made official as of yet.
It will be exciting to see what Kojima does next. Kojima is a creative developer and has worked on many amazing games. With him no longer needing to make a Metal Gear installment, it is anyone’s guess what he will do next. I am sure the entire games industry is waiting patiently for any clue as to his next project.
