Assassin's Creed Head of Content Claims Stolen Assests

Today was the release of the new Unchartered 4: A Thief’s End story trailer and with it is coming some accusations of Ubisoft employees that Naughty has stolen some concept art.

Azaïzia Aymar, the Assassin’s Creed Head of Content, tweeted out about how he figured out who the “thief” was in the subtitle to Naughty Dog’s latest game. In the story trailer at a specific time, you can see a shot of a painting that some AC devs are claiming is right out of their art books.

Update – Naughty Dog have comment on the issue, their full response is below:

“In our eagerness to get the story trailer out we made a regrettable mistake and didn’t thoroughly vet the art work used for an in game painting. We’ve already updated the trailer. We hold all artistry in high regard and take full responsibility for having allowed this to happen.

We want to sincerely apologize to everyone at Ubisoft, the Assassin’s Creed team, the original artist, and our fans.”
