An unamed Konami developer has recently released the cancelled HD Remaster of the classic arcade shoot ’em up, Salamander.
The classic title had been getting the fresh coat of paint for Android devices when Konami decided to pull plug near the completion of the game. But it seemed that someone on the team wasn’t going to let all their work go down the drain. Instead, he released it online and you can download it here.
The title was meant to be a free to play game and while there is little English text, it’s easy enough to work your way through the menus and hop into the pilot’s seat for some classic arcade fun. Just be sure to allow unauthorised apps to install in your settings if you’re interested in trying it out.
