Spider-Man: Homecoming Announced

Spider-Man: Homecoming Announced 4

Sony announced the first standalone Spider-Man movie that will take place in the established Marvel Cinematic Universe, titled Spider-Man: Homecoming. The announcement comes after a leaked domain name for the movie last week.

Sony made the announcement at CinemaCon with Tom Holland, the newest Spider-Man actor, alongside head of Sony Pictures, Tom Rothman  to reveal the new film.

Sony ended the Spider-Man presentation with a scene from Captain America: Civil War featuring a conversation between Peter Parker and Iron Man.

Spider-Man: Homecoming will be the first Spider-Man film that coincides with the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Holland’s Spider-Man swings into theatres on July 7, 2017, but he will appear alongside the Avengers first in Captain America: Civil War on April 27, 2016.
