ASUS Announces Beyond VR-Ready Products

ASUS is taking advantage of the rising trend of VR gaming with a new program designed to get the most out of PCs.

The Beyond VR Ready program is a series of motherboards, graphics cards, and gaming PCs certified for compatibility with virtual reality headsets and accessories. The program applies to products already compatible with the Oculus Rift while other VR devices such as the HTC Vive will be tested for compatibility upon release.

The testing and configuration program involved ASUS and partner engineers cooperating on the optimization of firmware and drivers for superior VR compatibility and performance — and the creation of the ASUS Beyond VR Ready logo indicates products tested to deliver a reliable and immersive VR experience,” says ASUS in a press release.

Some of the featured items include the Rampage V Extreme, X99, and Maximus VIII series motherboards, as well as the GTX and R9 series graphics processors.

Asus has a full list of Beyond VR Ready products on their microsite.
