Harvest Moon Lil' Farmers Heading to Mobile Devices

There are a lot of Harvest Moon inspired titles on iOS and Android devices. And while some of them are loved, they aren’t Harvest Moon. With that in mind, publisher Natsume along with Rising Star Games announced Harvest Moon Lil’ Farmers.

Developed by Daredevil Development, Harvest Moon Lil’ Farmers will actually be published by Rising Star Games for the 20th anniversary of the series. Set to release on May 25, 2017 for iOS and Android for $3.99, the title seems to be designed for children, but with such an active older fan base, it could have a bit more mass appeal.

“We are thrilled to enter the app market with a title based on Harvest Moon, a series whose name has been synonymous with family-friendly gaming for 20 years”, said Martin Defries, Managing Director at Rising Star Games in a press release. “We worked in close partnership with the series’ originator Natsume for complete authenticity, and partnered with developer Daredevil for its impressive experience in delivering engaging and kid-friendly experiences based on trusted children’s brands. We can’t wait to share the outstanding results of this combined project with youngsters across the globe.”

As is tradition for the franchise, players will be able to grow their vegetables to harvest. Players will also be able to tend to sheep cows and chickens to shear for wool, extract milk and get eggs. Much like other entries in the series, players will build relationships with the locals in the hopes they will come to your shop.

Interestingly enough, this will be the first app published by Rising Star Games. Before this, they published over 120 titles on Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo platforms. The team tasked with development, Daredevil Development, has a library of 100 games set in the universes of Star Wars, Lego, Peppa Pig, Teletubbies among others.
