Microsoft Announces Hot Wheels Expansion for Forza Horizon 3

Microsoft Announces Hot Wheels Expansion for Forza Horizon 3 2

Forza Horizon 3 has received critical acclaim ever since it was released back in September of 2016. For the select few that have not enjoyed this open world racing game, maybe this latest update will be enough to convince. Microsoft has recently announced that they will be releasing a Hot Wheels expansion pack to the game for both the PC and Xbox One on May 9, 2017.

For more or less, this will be a trip down nostalgia lane for fans who grew up on Hot Wheels. Microsoft stated in an announcement that players will be able to race in six newly themed islands that are all located on the coast of Australia. Which will, of course, consist of giant orange-textured Hot Wheels tracks that are several feet high with loops and corkscrews; where players will partake in all the crazy stunts that made Hot Wheels famous.

A fantastic addition from this pack will be what is known as the “Stunt Swap” feature. This will allow players to modify certain portions of the new tracks. Outside of all of this, this expansion pack will also feature a Playground Arena and a brand-new campaign. Plus, Microsoft also revealed that players who thrive for achievements will be able to earn 28 of them.

Once again, this will become available on May 9, 2017, but will come with a price tag attached to it. For the standalone pack, it will cost players $20. However, it will also be included in the game’s $35 expansion pass. In the meantime, be sure to check out the video for the Hot Wheels expansion that accompanied the announcement; which can be found on YouTube.
