Sony Confirms June 12 Timeslot for E3 Showing 1

Indeed, it is that time of the year again gaming fans. Fans around the world will only have to wait a little while longer until E3 officially commences. For those who are not avid gaming fanatics, this resembles Christmas for most fans. Developers and companies all aim to make a statement and build anticipation for their upcoming games and consoles alike.

Now, Sony fans can officially stop wondering when they can expect the masterminds behind the PlayStation to hold their event for E3. Just recently, Sony released a plethora of invites to numerous outlets and sources confirming the date and time of their upcoming showing. Aficionados of the global juggernaut should not be shocked to learn that this will take place on Monday, June 12 (6 pm PT, 9 am ET); as that is the timeslot Sony usually reserves.

Taking place at The Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall (in Los Angeles, California), Sony did not confirm any content that would be addressed. The invitations that were sent out were simple to the core, only including a date and time. While not confirmed, fans should look forward to seeing exclusive looks at upcoming PlayStation 4 games, and maybe even some reveals. However, Sony might drop a bombshell altogether.

It was not too long ago that Damian Thong, an analyst at Macquarie Capital Securities, had reason to believe Sony would release their upcoming console in the second half of 2018. It seems like a match made in heaven that they would reveal it at this year’s E3. With Nintendo already enjoying the success of their next-gen console and Microsoft set to unveil their Xbox Scorpio at E3 this year, it makes too much sense. But, just remember that is pure speculation and should be taken with a grain of salt.
