Ryan Reynolds Gives First Look at Domino in Deadpool 2 3

Ryan Reynolds gave fans their first glimpse of Domino from the upcoming Deadpool sequel.

Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds tweeted a photo of actress Zazie Beetz in her full Domino costume which will appear in 20th Century Fox’s Deadpool 2. While the movie’s design for the character does make a few changes, it’s clear that the character is staying mostly to its comic book source material.

Known as Neena Thurman, Domino was a member of a group within S.H.I.E.L.D known as the Six Pack. Domino and the team fought against the warrior known as Cable. After being defeat, Domino defected from her team and joined forced with Cable and Deadpool. Domino and Cable go on to have a continuous on-and-off relationship, typically building up to a fight between the two characters. While Fox hasn’t announced that they plan to use this story, Josh Brolin has been confirmed to play Cable in the upcoming film.

20th Century Fox’s Deadpool premiered last year and quickly took the world by storm as the highest grossing R-Rated film of all time. The film earned multiple awards and became widely popular among both comic fans and non-comic fans. It was announced earlier this year that a sequel film was in production.

Deadpool 2 is currently planned to premiere on June 1, 2018. The movie will be kicking off 20th Century Fox’s superhero movie lineup with two X-Men films releasing afterwards. Writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will be returning to work on the sequel film with David Leitch taking over as director. Also returning are Brianna Hildebrand and Stefan Kapičić as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and the voice of Colossus. Cable will also be featured in the movie alongside Domino but it has been confirmed that his origins from the comics will not be adapted in-depth in Deadpool 2.

Deadpool 2 is currently in production.
