Jurassic World Evolution Announced, Set for Spring 2018 Release 1

During Microsoft’s show at Gamescom 2017, Frontier Development, the minds behind Planet Coaster, announced Jurassic World Evolution.

Like Planet Coaster, the upcoming title will let players construct their very own Dinosaur Amusement park.

Based on the recently resurrected Jurassic Park movie franchise, Jurassic World Evolution promises to give players an authentic experience akin to the level of quality found in the films.

The new trailer hints at some of the upcoming features that will be in the game, and can be viewed below.

“Build your own Jurassic World, bioengineer new dinosaur breeds, and construct attractions, containment and research facilities. Every choice leads to a different path and spectacular challenges arise when ‘life finds a way.’”

No additional information has been released for Jurassic World Evolution.

Planet Coaster, Frontier Development’s previous title, received praise from both the press and fans alike for the deep level of customization and in-depth theme park editor.

Frontier Development has also worked on the popular RollerCoaster Tycoon series, with RollerCoaster Tycoon 3.

In other words, Jurassic World Evolution has the perfect developers behind it.

With Frontier Development’s long history of making simulation construction and management titles, Jurassic World Evolution will likely cater to not only to those who like management games, but also to fans of the long running dinosaur movie franchise.

The last big Jurassic Park-themed game to come out was Lego: Jurassic World in 2015. The game was met by a lukewarm reception, holding a Metacritic rating of 70% (PlayStation 4).

Players will be able to create their very own Jurassic Park sometime come summer 2018, when Jurassic World Evolution launches.

Jurassic World Evolution will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
