After a mere 15 reports in the past 3 months, developer Upfall Studios have reached out to players for help in regards to a mysterious bug.
According to David, one of the members of Upfall studios ‘I probably only got ~15 reports in the last 3 months, but it’s annoying for players, and I would rather find out what is going on.’
‘Simply put the game hangs when returning from the Home screen or from sleep mode. The only way to “fix” it is to reboot the Reddit post, following to say ‘I’ve received a couple reports about this, and all of them “fixed” it that way, but no one could tell me how to make it happen.’
Due to the mysterious nature of this rarely experienced bug, David has promised a reward for anyone able to discover how to activate said bug. David explained that ‘If you encounter this issue and you have any info on how to make it happen, it would help a bunch. I can offer a couple copies of the game for the other platforms for the first person who reports it,’
Upfall Studios’ attitude towards fixing this rare bug has motivated many Reddit users to purchase Quest of Dungeons in order to show their support. The post currently has 922 upvotes on the Nintendo Switch subreddit, and the top comment states the following “The fact that you are actively searching for a fix to a bug that is only affecting a small number of users speaks volumes to me.”
Originally released March 25, 2014, Quest of Dungeons is a roguelike indie game featuring four vastly different playable characters. Quest of Dungeons is currently available on: Steam, App Store, Google Play, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Wii U, PS4, Xbox One, and most recently, the Nintendo Switch.
