PSN and Qriocity services to be fully restored by May 31

The PSN is still down, in case you haven’t noticed.

Despite recent promises from Sony, the PlayStation Network and Qriocity are still offline and Sony is uncertain about the immediate futures of the platforms. However, spokesperson Shigenori Yoshida says that people can expect both the PSN and Qriocity to be fully functional by May 31.

Certain PSN and Qriocity features were supposed to resume over the weekend, but Sony recently said that they are delaying the launch to conduct further security testing after the Sony Online Entertainment servers were attacked last week. Whether Sony plans to partially restore the PSN and Qriocity before May 31 is unknown, but at least we have a solid date for the full return of the services.
