Crytek Teams Up With Crycash To Launch a Cryptocurrency For Gamers

Hunt: Showdown developer Crytek has partnered with Crycash to launch the startup’s eponymous cryptocurrency, which is designed with gamers in mind. Crytek will integrate the cryptocurrency with their free-to-play shooter Warface. Crycash will begin to sell its initial coin offering on December 12, which will run through January 15, 2018. Crycash will use the cryptocurrency Ethereum for purchases, with the initial price will be 0.001 Ethereum per one token, though this price will only be available during the initial offering. It looks like Disney is shaping up to be the new owners of Fox. News broke recently that Disney is currently in talks to buy the majority of 21st Century Fox’s assets. Marvel Announces Animated Film with Super Diverse Cast

Marvel has announced that they will be releasing a new, more diverse, animated film called, Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors. Marvel Rising is set to launch in 2018 with six, four-minute shorts that will be followed by the animated feature itself. Blizzard just released a new Developer Update video detailing the second coming of the Winter Wonderland event for Overwatch. As usual, fans should expect a slew of new Legendary costumes, which will be up for grabs with the latest patch. Dyling Light Gets A Standalone Multiplayer Expansion

Dying Light will be getting a standalone, multiplayer expansion in 2018, Techland announced Thursday. Called Dying Light: Bad Blood, the expansion will “blend PvP and PvE styles of gameplay, while retaining the core of Dying Light’s unique experience,” according to Techland. Each match in the new mode will begin with six players dropping into a zombie infested area, with the goal being to harvest enough blood samples from zombies to earn a spot on the extraction helicopter by the end of the match. Ubisoft delays Far Cry 5 and the Crew 2

Ubisoft has announced that they will be delaying the release of two of their major titles: Far Cry 5 and the Crew 2. As of right now, Far Cry 5 has been delayed from February 27, 2018 to March 27, 2018. This means that fans of the series will have to wait an additional month for the highly anticipated, and potentially controversial, launch. Some Endgame Destiny 2 Content Now Locked Behind DLC

Destiny 2 players are up in arms following the release of the Curse of Osiris expansion, which has locked vanilla players out of Prestige raids and strikes due to increased requirements for endgame activities. As reported by Kotaku, the expansion has raised the power level cap from 300 to 330. When Destiny 2 launched, players were required to reach a power level of 300 to participate in Prestige versions of the raid and Nightfall strikes. The Overwatch League Preseason Kicks Off Today

Blizzard is preparing to take the next big step with Overwatch esports later today, as the inaugural season of Blizzard’s Overwatch League launches its preseason at 7 p.m. EST. The preseason will run from December 6 to December 9, with a total of 12 matches being played. Much like the regular season, preseason matches will be held at the Blizzard Arena in Burbank, California, and will be streamed on the Overwatch League website. More details have emerged regarding the proposal from an American politician to enact laws involving loot boxes in video games. In November, Hawaii House of Representatives member Christopher Lee spoke out against EA and the company’s practices with loot boxes and micro-transactions in Star Wars Battlefront 2.
