Developer teamPixel creates campaign to buy Homeworld IP

App developer teamPixel has set out on Indiegogo as a campaign to try and buy Homeworld IP from the recently broken company THQ.

As of today, the company has 14 days to meet its goal of $50,000, that came after Relic Entertainment was bought by Sega in yesterday’s auction to sell THQ’s assessts. However, the IP for Homeworld was not included which sparked teamPixel to create this campaign.

The developers goal is to help get the Homeworld franchise “back into the hands of gamers”. teamPixel plans to save the game, fund Homeworld 3, and Homeworld Classic for touch devices and put Homeworld on GoGo.com and Steam.
