Ubisoft has announced a Splinter Cell component in the online game, Ghost Recon Online.
Ghost Recon Online players will be able to use the gear of Splinter Cell‘s famous operative: Sam Fisher. They will also be able to use weapons made famous by the Splinter Cell franchise.
The game has also added a new map, called the Kybar Stronghold. Ubisoft producer Corey Facteau says “our community is more than three million strong, who we work to continuously provide new content for. Our goal is to keep their experience fresh and dynamic so we’re looking forward to seeing how they explore Khyber Stonghold and use Sam Fisher’s items in-game.”
Ghost Recon Online is currently free-to-play. This isn’t the first cross-over announced for the title, with Assassin’s Creed launching earlier in February.
This announcement comes in response to the newest game in the Splinter Cell franchise, Splinter Cell: Blacklist. You can check out the review here.
