Heavy Rain Composer dies

Norman Corbeil, composer of Heavy Rain and the upcoming Beyond: Two Souls, died Friday at age 56.

Corbeil died after his battle with stage four pancreatic cancer, his son Laurent Corbeil talked about his father’s death on The Cancer forums, posting that his father had died at 2:56 p.m. According to Corbeil’s son, his father died just six months after he was diagnosed with the pancreatic cancer in August, and regularly posted about Corbeil’s fight with the disease on The Cancer Forums. 

The canadian composer was born April 6, 1956 in Montreal, and is best known for his work on Heavy Rain for which he won a BAFTA award. Corbeil was currently working on Quantic Dream’s upcoming title Beyond: Two Souls, and also composed television and movie scores for Screamers, Penfield, Twist of Fate, Pretty When You Cry and Napola—Elite Fur den Fuhrer.
