Rockstar announces release date for GTAV

Rockstar has announced Grand Theft Auto 5 will be postponed to a Sept. 17 release for Xbox and PS3, and fans are not impressed.

Rockstar released an announcement on their website apologizing for almost four month delay for the game. The extra time will used to polish-up the game, which will hopefully be worth the wait.

GTAV is a massively ambitious and complex game and it simply needs a little more polish to be of the standard we and, more importantly, you require.” wrote Rockstar.

A short time after the announcement was made, Rockstar was assaulted with angry comments prompting this response:

“Hey all, we understand many of you guys are disappointed with this news – unfortunately sometimes such delays are necessary in all forms of entertainment, and especially in the case of a game experience as massive and complex as GTAV. However this does not give you free reign to be abusive in comments. The general rules of common courtesy, decency and behavior as listed above the Comment Box still apply here, therefore anyone continuing to post abusive comments will have their privileges suspended. Also for those of you asking about the official box art, that will be coming out a bit later as well. Thank you all for understanding.”

Grand Theft Auto 5 takes place in Los Santos, one of the three cities from GTA: San Andreas. However, Rockstar said this is going be the biggest game world they have ever created, and will allow for more extreme missions. Pictures of the game have also been released, showing players that there will now be aquatic life, and yes, that means sharks.
