Konami rolls out Metal Gear Solid spring fashion line

Capcom launches new IP with Dragon's Dogma 2

Now you can get the gear of your favorite Metal Gear characters.

Solid Snake’s next adventure will apparently take place on the runway. Konami has unveiled a new spring fashion line inspired by Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker, and it’s actually intended for an audience beyond cosplay.

“Our partnership will give fans the opportunity to ’suit up’ for one of the most successful video game franchises of all time, specifically for Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker,” said Konami Acquisitions VP Careen Yapp. “The mass success and support for our latest Metal Gear Solid hit has allowed us to expand beyond what we’ve done in the past with the series, and we are very much looking forward to offering this new line to a global community of fans.”

The collection was created in collaboration with musterbrand LLC, a design group that specializes in adaptations of digital properties, and will include hats, coats, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and pants. Most of the offerings are unsurprisingly of the military/khaki variety and almost everything comes with a lot of extra pockets, but the branding thankfully isn’t too overt so it should be possible to rock the Metal Gear duds in public.

You can check out a few examples in the pictures below. The MGS line will be available online in Canada and the U.S. starting on April 11

. New items will be rolled out every quarter and on certain special days throughout the year. You’ll want to pay attention if that’s the sort of thing you’re into, but I’d say that you might just want to stick with the games.
