The upcoming RPG will give you plenty of ways to turn monsters into pulp.
38 Studios has finally released the first gameplay trailer for Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, and Curt Schilling’s first game is actually looking pretty impressive. The level design clearly owes a lot to World of Warcraft, but the combat animations are far more cinematic than anything you’re likely to see in a current RPG and there’s a nice assortment of destructive spells and weapons. It may be standard RPG fare, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing when you’ve got Elder Scrolls veteran Ken Rolston leading the design.
The new trailer and a few new screenshots are below. Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning will be available for the PS3, the Xbox 360, and the PC, and is scheduled for release sometime in 2012.
