The latest Marvel trailer is the X-Men vs. the Cuban Missile Crisis.

20th Century Fox has released a new trailer (embedded below) for Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class and despite what you may have learned in high school history, it was actually the mutants who prevented the Cuban Missile Crisis.

X-Men: First Class is a reboot to the series and focuses on the early relationship between a young Professor X (James McAvoy) and Magneto (Michael Fassbender) as they form the first group of X-Men, and the second trailer contains a lot of new footage that showcases new-to-the-movies team members like Havok and Banshee. The video also hints at some sort of relationship between Mystique and Beast, and it’s always cool to watch Magneto lift a whole submarine out of the water.

After X-Men: The Last Stand and the Wolverine movie, I was skeptical about X-Men: First Class, but I have to admit that the trailers are looking pretty good. The movie will be released on June 3, so we’ll have to wait until then to see if it delivers on the potential.
