Mickey Mouse has become a Sith. 

Announced earlier today, Lucasfilm, Ltd. has been sold to movie/gaming/entertainment giant, Disney. According to the news being released today, the company was bought for $4.05 billion. 

The biggest news out of the merger? A new Star Wars movie, penned Star Wars: Episode 7 has been decided upon. The movie has been tentatively set to release sometime in 2015. 

Along with the purcahse of Lucasfilm, Disney also earned the rights to subsidary companies like Lucasfilm Animation and Lucas Arts. The latter is the popular video game developer who has developed titles like LEGO Star Wars and LEGO Indiana Jones.
