If you’re one of the few people who couldn’t get enough of Resident Evil 6, you’ll be happy to know Capcom has huge plans for Resident Evil 7.

Capcom announced during an investors Q&A that they currently had 1,500 in house developers and by 2023 were hoping to add 1,000 more.

During the Q&A, a question was asked in regards to the success of Resident Evil 6 by user reviews. While Capcom acnowledged the first round of reviews were poorer than expected, they also said, “Resident Evil 6 continues to generate repeat sales in Japan and overseas.”

The Resident Evil franchise has always been one of the key series Capcom has relied upon for sales, and continues to be a fan favourite. All of these aspects heavily contributed to Capcom making the decision to add 1,000 more developers within the next ten years.

“Our goal is to increase the number of developers by 1,000 over the next 10 years. We want to further improve the quality of our games by maintaining an internal game development team,” the Q&A stated.

Although there hasn’t been any talk on when the next Resident Evil game will begin its development, it is evident, fans will be able to quench their zombie thirst within the next ten years.
