Mass Effect actor Robin Sachs dies at 61

Robin Sachs, known in the videogame world as the voice of Mass Effect’s Zaeed Massani and multiple voices for Dragon Age, has died at age 61.

The situation surrounding Sachs’ death is still unknown, and was hinted at Tuesday on Reddit after word of it was caught on BioWare’s forums. Later on Sachs’ website it was revealed that the veteran actor was dead and that his death was very sudden and unexpected. The original Bioware post stated Sachs died last Friday, but was only announced on his birthday Tuesday.

Sachs was a member of not only the gaming community, but was also very well known for his role in Buffy: The Vampire Slayer, sci-fi Babylon 5 and of course Star Trek: Voyager. A part from doing game voice-overs, Sachs also contributed his voice to cartoons that included the 90s Fantastic Four and SpongeBob SquarePants.

Sachs’ was born in London, and would have turned 62 Tuesday, his last project was for the 2012 Resident Evil animated movie, Biohazard: Damnation. Details on the actors death still have yet to be revealed.
