Bungie will officially unveil their highly anticipated new franchise, the developer’s first games since completing their time with Halo, “In a matter of days.”
“So, our game is called Destiny. In a matter of days, we’re going to give you your first glimpse into the vision and ambition that’s driving the creation of our brave new world,” said the developer in a post on Bungie.net.
Destiny is the first Bungie project under their new 10-year agreement with Activision. Some details on the game had already been leaked, suggesting a 2013 release for the Xbox 360 with a PlayStation 3 release coming a year later.
With next-gen consoles possibly hitting later this year though, the platform releases will likely change.
While one would hope Destiny turns out to be something entirely new and fresh from Bungie, I expect it will turn out to be very similar to Halo.
