Telltale Games’ Senior Public Relations Manager Job Stauffer shares with Comics and Gaming Magazine screenshots of The Wolf Among Us, an episodic game series based on Bill Willingham’s award-winning comic book series, Fables.

A constant New York Times bestseller, Fables is one of DC Entertainment’s longest running series published under its Vertigo imprint since 2002. With numerous awards under its belt, Fables is regarded as one of the mythologies in the world of comics; memorable characters such as Snow While, Pinocchio and the Big Bad Wolf are repurposed as actual beings with their powers intact.

The Wolf Among Us takes place prior to the events experienced in the first Fables issue. The infamous Big Bad Wolf is known as Bigby Wolf, a sheriff of a hidden community in New York City, exiled from the land of fairytales. Bigby is given the task by now-bureaucrat Snow White to maintain order of a society of mythological creatures and characters hiding within a mundane world. With appearances from a chain-smoking Little Pigs member, to a car-jacking Mr. Toad, The Wolf Among Us invites players to explore beloved fairytale and mythological creatures trying to survive the mean streets of New York City.

The Wolf Among Us is set to premiere this summer on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, PC and Mac from the Telltale Online Store, and other digital distribution outlets. Additional platforms will be announced in the near future. More details of The Wolf Among Us would be revealed at this year’s E3 in Los Angeles.
