Despite the obvious handicap of being dead, everyone’s favorite S.H.I.E.L.D agent will return to the Marvel Universe this fall on ABC.
Clark Gregg is set to reprise his role as the secret agent/Captain America Fanboy Agent Phil Coulson in the new ABC action/ drama Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The network has released a first look at the new TV series being developed by Emporor of the Marvel Universe Joss Whedon.

This short trailer leaves us with many questions. I’m still not sure when this is going to take place in the Marvel timeline. Is the show set before or after the events of The Avengers. One might guess that the show is set before the movie since Agent Coulsono is alive and well. Although, since S.H.I.E.L.D has a tendancy to use LMDs or Life Model Decoys for thier higher ranking agents. If that’s the case it’s quite possible that Coulson’s death in the Avengers was simply a motivational fake-out.
Look for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D on ABC this fall.
