There’s just about a month left until the release of Grand Theft Auto V, so Rockstar Games has decided to instill and maintain the hype by releasing a trailer Thursday, introducing players to a new online component called Grand Theft Auto Online.
Rockstar describes Grand Theft Auto Online as a combination of the “fundamental GTA concepts of freedom, ambient activity and mission-based gameplay that made them available to multiple players in an incredibly and responsive online world.”
Grand Theft Auto Online will allow players to engage in single player or multiplayer activity, all while retaining the personality and mechanics associated with Grand Theft Auto V.
Grand Theft Auto Online will launch on Oct. 1, and will be available with every retail copy of Grand Theft Auto V, which comes to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on Sept. 17.
