Monster Hunter Frontier G, previously announced for Playstation 3 and Wii U, is coming to the Playstation Vita.

The Vita version was announced today by Capcom during the Tokyo Game Show and  is set to release in Japan in 2014

The official website says there will be cross-play between the Vita and PS3 versions.According to IGN, the Vita version won’t be able to play in all the same worlds as the PS3 copy but they will share some.

The title is a subscription based MMORPG, with the service being present for the console versions as well. The original Monster Hunter Frontier Online was released for Microsoft Windows, and eventually ported to Xbox 360 back in 2010.

Monster Hunter Frontier G has no Western release date yet. But if Monster Hunter’s pedigree in Japan continues, this will be a killer app for the Vita.
