The Mighty No.9 released its first gameplay footage this morning. The footage shows the main character Beck, side-scrolling his way through pylon-shaped enemies.

For anyone unaware, The Mighty No.9 is a project by Keiji Inafune (creator of MegaMan) that hopes to bring side-scrolling action gameplay to a new generation.

PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game were also announced today, with funding at around 3,396,000.

As well, if you look at the goals on the Kickstarter page, you’ll see that while funding hasn’t reached $3,500,000 yet, the PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS versions are said to be “reached.

And for anyone who had any doubts, the game is MegaMan through and through. Perhaps the game will have some sort of link to the MegaMan universe. You can view the in-game footage here.

The Mighty No.9 has an estimated release date of April 2015. There are only ten hours left on the project.
