Nintendo Issues Statement on Digital Conference - 2014-04-29 14:01:01

Earlier today, CGM writer Tyler Reynolds reported on Nintendo skipping out on E3 this year, and doing a Direct conference instead. They will also hold a Super Smash Bros. invitational.

To Nintendo, this is the best option to get as many eyes on their product as possible.

“Every year during E3 we consider the most effective way to deliver our news to many audiences,” says Nintendo of Canada, “We proved last year that we’ll break completely new ground if we believe doing so will provide the best experience for our fans, followers and partners. And that’s what we’re doing again this year.”

They also mentioned that they’ll stream demos, and live information through Nintendo Treehouse: Live at E3.  In addition to the Super Smash Bros. Invitational that takes place at the Nokia Theatre L.A Live along with playable Smash Bros. demos at Best Buys.

Nintendo’s digital conference will air June 10 at 12:00 noon EST.
