Comic writer Van Jenson who has previously worked on titles such as Pinocchio, Vampire Slayer, and Green Lantern Corps and artist Jose Pimienta have launched a Kickstarter for their new project; The Leg.
The Leg tells the story of the lost leg of former Mexican President Santa Anna, after it was shot off by cannon fire in The Pastry War in the 1880s.
While the story of Anna’s leg being shot off, and how his state funeral for is are true, The Leg’s main story will have it fight villains in Mexico to redeem Anna’s legacy.
The book is currently finished and needs the Kickstarter for printing and shipping costs.
The project has just launched it’s Kickstarter today, and will last until June 4th.
