Hover: Revolt Of Gamers Developer Says Wii U Not Up To Ambitions

The upcoming parkour title Hover: Revolt of Gamers reached its third stretch goal on Kickstarter today, which means the game will be twice as large as its original size and will include a new district.

Though this new stretch goal is important, the next goal of $100,000 is huge for Wii U owners. If that goal is attained a Wii U version will be released and will potentially feature asymmetric controls for the gamepad.

Unfortunately, developer Midgar Studio went on to say  in their update that “even if the WiiU is a console with a very decent performance, it’s kind of pale in comparison to the technical ambitions that we have for Hover.”

Hover‘s gameplay and style looks to be heavily inspired by the classic SEGA title Jet Set Radio, especially with its futuristic setting. What’s even more interesting is that not only will the game release on PC but it also will support the fabled Oculus Rift.

Hover: Revolt of Gamers is set to release on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One sometime in April 2015. Be sure to stay tuned to CGM as more details arise. You can check out the Kickstarter page here.
