Atlus To Release a PS2 Classic Today, Doesn't Announce It 2

After teasing the announcement for a week, it turns out that Atlus is releasing Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga on PSN later today.

Gaming news blog Siliconrea released an image late last week with the headline stating “The Stars Have Aligned” with a single image. Shin Megami Tensei fans quickly noticed that the image in question was the brand that the main character of Digital Devil Saga has.

A topic on the subject was posted on reddit, and Atlus’ official reddit account hinted that the news was real, and that the price would be $9.99.

On Sunday, the PlayStation Blog confirmed that the game would be released on Tuesday on the PSN as a PS2 digital title of this week in North America.

Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga is a spin off from the Shin Megami Tensei series and has a group of teenagers who gain the ability to become demons, and who use that power to ascend to “Nirvana.” The game has a sequel, Digital Devil Saga 2 which continues the story from the first game.

Also announced was that Digital Devil Saga will hopefully be coming to Europe soon by U.K publisher Ghostlight.

Even though it has been confirmed by both Atlus and the PlayStation Blog, Atlus has not made an official announcement or any kind of news on any of their social media outlets about the release of Digital Devil Saga.
