Square Enix dropped a trailer for their upcoming ghost-cop-thriller Murdered: Soul Suspect. The title comes out June 3, 2014, so in this five-minute video there was a lot of information packed in.
Gamers play as Ronan O’Connor, an ex convict turned cop who solves murders. The last case he was on, he never finished. That’s because he was murdered by a serial killer who is still haunting Salem. Though he died, he still has unfinished business– his spirit lives on as he solves his own murder. So, he teams up with a medium and they try to find “The Bell Killer.”
In his death O’Connor is no chump. While he can’t interact with anything in the physical world, he’s gained a slew of powers to make it through the afterlife. He can walk through walls, read minds, see clues, and relive moments in time and influence decisions. But there are dangers in death. There are demons that want you more dead, and occult objects that can harm him.
