Players will be able to use the classic Z-Targeting system in Hyrule Warriors.

The latest issue of the Japanese gaming magazine Famatsu has revealed that Hyrule Warriors will have a two-player mode. One player will use the Wii U gamepad as their screen, and the other player will use the TV screen. When in single player mode, the player will use the gamepad as a normal menu, much like The Legend of Zelda Wind Waker’s.

Link will be a knight in training for Hyrule’s Royal Army before needing to save Princess Zelda (again.)

In Hyrule Warriors, Link is a recruit for Hyrule’s Royal Army and will have to save Princess Zelda from a with named Shia.

Players will be able to equip different kinds of weapons that will effect how they will play. One handed swords are faster, while heavier two handed ones will be slower, but will deal more damage.

The classic Legend of Zelda Z-Targeting mechanic will be used to take evasive action against enemies, as well as be able to target weak points to gain an advantage in battle.

Finally, Impa, the head of Hyrule’s Royal Army will be a playable character in the game, as well as many other unrevealed characters. Impa’s main weapon will be a large two anded sword.
