Prices for games on consoles keeps going up as more time is needed to get the games working but is this a good thing for everyone? Wayne looks at games prices and how there is a market for games that have a reasonable price tag. Do companies like Focus Home Interactive have it right? Should more games target the $30-$40 price tag? Should more games target this lower price range, share your thoughts bellow!

  1. While I agree the price tag is becoming almost unreachable for most gamers (hence the thriving of the used game market) the quality of those lower tiered games makes it hard to commit to them. We’re spoiled with deep games and stunning graphics and while not the rule, the norm is that $40 titles don’t even come close. Of course if those big games dropped in cost a little perhaps you’d see an increase in retail purchases to help balance the books but that’s just conjecture on my part. Bottom line is that as expectations of quality increase so will budgets for AAA games… be prepared to dish out for them!

  3. One reason I’m into old games mostly. I once spent $60 on like…100 Atari 2600 games. Don’t tell me one big AAA game today can match the greatness that is 100 ATari 2600 games. lol
