Borderlands on the Big Screen

Borderlands on the Big Screen - 2014-11-19 15:36:39

Before you go jumping to conclusions, this isn’t about a Borderlands movie. The first episode of Talltale Games’ Tales from the Borderlands is going to be shown at the Alamo Drafthouse in Richardson, Texas

The first of five episodes, titled Zero Sum, will be released next Tuesday, November 25, but on Monday, November 24 at 8 p.m. CST (9 p.m. Eastern) they will be premiering the first episode in front of a live audience.

Tickets are already sold out, but for those of us without them, or who are a little too far from Texas, the whole show will be streamed on the Nerdist’s Twitch channel.

The runtime is set at 135 minutes. For those unfamiliar with the Telltale games, players make choices throughout the story, which affects how the plot plays out. Those who are lucky enough to attend the live screening will be dictating where the story goes.

Tales from the Borderlands takes place after the end of Borderlands 2. In the game you play as Rhys, a Hyperion ‘suit’ voiced by Troy Baker, and Fiona, a con artist voiced by Laura Bailey, who partner up to recover cash that they both believe to be theirs.

The game will be available for the PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, Mac, Android and iOS.
