Internet Archive Releases 2400 DOS Games Free to Play - 49510

Well, there goes my January. Earlier this week, Internet Archive released over 2,400 DOS games that will get you right in the nostalgia. Games like Duke Nukem 3D, Bust-a-Move, Metal Gear, Prince of Persia, and my personal favorite series of all time – Commander Keen, are all free to stream online.

If you haven’t visited them before, the not-for-profit site is devoted to keeping a permanent record of the internet, complete with  software, movies, books and of course games. Their aim is to give access to historians, scholars, researchers, and anyone else who would like access to historic works in digital format. Some previous additions have included emulators for Atari and ColecoVision, as well as a fairly comprehensive library of Sega SG-1000 and Genesis games.

You can find the full archive here if you’d like to check it out for yourself. Let us know what classic games will take all your free time the comments below!
