Star Wars: The Force Awakens Releases New Teaser

So if you have even teeniest, tiniest nerd bone somewhere in your body, then you may have felt a great disturbance in the force, as if millions of fellow geeks cried out in rapture and were silenced by their own orgasmic bliss. That’s because Disney has released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming Star Wars film, with a set date for this Christmas. So yes, this is your Christmas gift for being a good little Jedi this year.

The one thing you can immediately draw from the teaser is that whoever cut this teaser knows exactly which buttons to push in an old school Star Wars fan. You’ve got a narration by a raspy Mark Hamill, you’ve got gorgeous concept art-y, landscape shot with a crashed X-Wing fighter and Star Destroyer amidst the sandy dunes of Tatooine, you’ve got light sabers, quick star fighter fights, the Millennium Falcon dashing through a tunnel and, of course, Han Solo and Chewbacca blowing people’s minds simply be existing. There’s a lot of new stuff as well, such as mysterious stormtroopers and all the new characters, but the most important thing for fans is that the music and the imagery feels “Star Warsy” which, at this point, is all people are hoping for.

If you still somehow haven’t seen the new video, or simply want to watch it for the umpteenth time, here it is for your viewing pleasure.
