Bethesda Invite Shows No Sign of ‘Fallout 4’ 1

The countdown to E3 is fast approaching. What makes this year event so interesting is that a new company has been added to the press conference line-up, Bethesda.  Fans can tune into their first ever press conference on Sunday, June 14, 2015.

The company made the shocking announcement a few months back. Since then fans have been speculating what franchises will be shown.  With the amount of franchises they have at their disposal there’s no question they can hold your attention for over an hour, or however long they plan to make it. What franchises will we see there have been hinted at in their E3 invitation, and its missing arguably their biggest franchise, Fallout.

That doesn’t necessarily mean you won’t see the next entry in the Fallout franchise either. It could be the “one more thing” announcement that Apple has a reputation for. Holding this conference they’d need to bring their biggest guns to be in the topic of ‘best conference’ along side Sony, Microsoft and Electronic Arts. Although they make the bigger splash, Bethesda has the element of surprise. No one knows what approach they’ll take with their conference. It could be goofy like Konami, serious like EA, or somewhere in the middle like Ubisoft. We’ll just have to wait and see.

The invite photo has sparked a lot of debate online but honestly, revealing or even hinting at everything you’ll announce would be foolish for the company. The invite did however highlight some existing IP’s such as, Sebastian from The Evil Within, a Cyberdemon from the Doom series, and a Tall boy enemy from Dishonored. That’s not all either; the most loyal of fans will be able to pick them all out from a far.  Does that mean all these franchises are getting sequels announcements this year? Not likely. Showing off these characters should not be taken as confirmation to all these IP’s being shown at their E3 conference. Outside of a montage reel, it’s just not going to happen.

The decision to leave behind Fallout 4 is to keep the hype at an all-time high.  People have been waiting since the last major entry in the franchise, Fallout: New Vegas, back in 2010 to step back into post apocalyptic wasteland. It’s been five long years people have been speculating when the studio will make the announcement for next generation consoles. With leaked documents pointing to Fallout 4 taking place in Boston, Massachussetts, leads everyone to believe the announcement is fast approaching, just like the electronic expo.

Bethesda has stated that their focus would shift to other projects after the final DLC pack for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is completed. So the wait won’t be much longer.

What franchises do you think you’ll see at Bethesda’s E3 event? What are you hoping to see? Let us know in the comment s below.
